Paul Petaccio

Paul Petaccio is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Auxilium Payee Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the financial well-being, dignity, and independence of individuals who rely on Social Security benefits. Through his work, Paul has developed a reputation for combining practical financial oversight with a genuine commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

Born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Paul developed an early understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families navigating financial instability, disability, and complex systems of support. These experiences shaped his commitment to helping others and ultimately guided his professional path.

After graduating from Father Judge High School in 2016 and Bloomsburg University in 2020, Paul began his career in the employee benefits space. There, he worked closely with health insurance organizations and employers to help them understand, access, and manage critical financial and insurance resources related to employer-sponsored health plans. Through this experience, he saw firsthand how proper guidance and structure could significantly improve people’s lives and how gaps in knowledge or oversight could leave individuals vulnerable.

Paul later founded Auxilium Payee Services after being introduced to the representative payee system and recognizing a critical gap. Many individuals receiving SSI and SSDI benefits lacked reliable, transparent, and accountable financial management. At the same time, those entrusted with managing these funds were often underqualified, untrained, or lacked proper oversight. In too many cases, this resulted in fraud, waste, and abuse, placing already vulnerable individuals at even greater risk.

Seeing this, Paul set out to build an organization that could serve as a trusted intermediary, ensuring that funds are properly managed while allowing the individuals he serves to live with greater financial stability and peace of mind.

Under Paul’s leadership, Auxilium Payee Services operates with a strong emphasis on compliance, accountability, and ethical stewardship. The organization provides comprehensive financial management services, including budgeting, bill payment, record-keeping, and reporting, all in alignment with Social Security Administration guidelines. His approach prioritizes transparency and individualized attention, ensuring that each beneficiary’s needs are met with care and precision.

Paul’s leadership philosophy is rooted in service. He believes that financial management especially for vulnerable populations, is not just an administrative function, but a responsibility that directly impacts quality of life. His work reflects a commitment to safeguarding resources, empowering individuals, and building systems that create stability and trust.
